Greetings! Chapter 6 of LYRAE kick off today!
The crew of the LYRAE-3 ventures into lawless space to seek aid from the Outer Independents, a loose alliance of space stations and moonbases manned by pirates and exiled dissidents.
A warm welcome is therefore unlikely, but in the face of the alien threat there is little alternative available.
This chapter essentially starts what I’ll loosely call the next “arc” of the webcomic, with the immediate threat to the Bastion gone and our crew putting their FTL drive to good use venturing into parts unknown.
With that, I’ve a few format changes. The weird page size I chose for reasons lost to time has been done away with, and I’ve made some adjustments to the speech bubble style. I hope you would agree these are both positive changes going forward.
